Communications - Special Project Intern

Anaheim, CA

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of HR, the Communications (HR) Intern will manage day-to-day operations of culture and corporate responsibility initiatives including workflow, budgets, and reporting.  


Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

  • Handle publishing, posting and communications across our social media platforms with focus on LinkedIn (additional platforms may include Instagram, TikTok and Twitter)
  • Daily monitoring and moderation of social media accounts with emphasis on LinkedIn
  • Complete and administer internal company newsletters and other types of communications
  • Facilitate internal company philanthropy activities
  • Assist with coordination and production of corporate programs and company news, updates, and events
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Marketing, and other internal teams to support communication of company openings, collaborations, projects, campaigns, etc.
  • May assist manager with compiling social media analytics
  • May perform other related duties as needed and as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Currently enrolled college students and/or recent graduates
  • Must be available to work full time schedule
  • Passion for fashion, retail, and process improvement
  • Engaging personality with exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Creative writing skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Participation in philanthropic activities is a plus
  • LinkedIn experience required
  • Ability to act as an advocate for the brand and to think outside the box
  • Basic skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), InDesign, & Photoshop
  • Intermediate experience in Illustrator

 

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume.  This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
