Communications Manager

Laguna Hills, CA

The PepsiCo Beverages North America – West Division Manager of Communications works collaboratively across the company, multiple PepsiCo divisions, and external partners in North America to assess, design, and implement communications programming with an increased focus on three key pillars - community impact, sustainability and employer of choice. This role reports directly to the Director of Communications in PBNA’s West Division and will support day-to-day internal and external communications needs.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Key activities linked to planning, development and implementation of internal and external communications plans around our Transformation, Sustainability and DE&I initiatives
  • Serve as West Division editor in chief for internal employee communications including company newsletter
  • Provide strategic communications counsel focused on brand reputation management and proactive media relations to support brand, corporate and issues management efforts
  • Support executive communication requirements from President’s office, and other senior leaders, including Town Halls, change communications, customer communication
  • Maintain a firm understanding of PepsiCo's business, including broader competitive environment


Location is flexible and can be located in: Irvine, California; Los Angeles, California; Hayward, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Expected salary range is $90K - $130K
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Executive maturity to collaborate with and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding writing, proofreading and strategic communication planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience in internal communication
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations and crisis management
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and special events
  • High level of computer proficiency (MS Office, web-based applications)
  • Well organized and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player, able to work with various working styles and functional teams
  • Experience working on DE&I programming an asset
  • Experience working with nonprofits or corporate foundations an asset
  • Experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods / Foods industry an asset
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
