Communications & Events Supervisor

DreamWorks Animation partners with world-class technology and entertainment companies to advance technological solutions beneficial to both parties.  These alliances are rooted in joint engineering efforts and involve business relationships and co-branded partnership advocacy. 


The role and primary responsibility of the Strategic Alliances Supervisor are to oversee all aspects of partnership communications – with a focus on messaging and design creation - and event logistics that illustrate the history, culture, franchise properties, industry innovations and corporate strategy of DreamWorks Animation and its affiliates to local and global audiences, customers and partners.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Strategic Alliance account managers and leadership to research, create, construct and develop all aspects of written, verbal and visual partnership communication materials
  • Create, organize, update, approve, deliver and secure all presentation materials
  • Review, edit and provide feedback to copy submitted by strategic partners 
  • Gather and approve imagery usage for various technology partner requests
  • Responsible for obtaining approvals for public use of media from studio departments
  • Responsible for creation of select media content (presentation slides, video & photo production, imagery)
  • Absorb, retain and effectively communicate the Studio’s use and co-invention of products, services and joint engineering solutions developed on behalf of the alliance
  • Build and maintain strong and knowledgeable relationships and collaborate effectively with all internal and partner stakeholders to foster and ensure alliance and campaign success
  • Routinely sync with Strategic Alliances and Animation Technology executives, managers, supervisors, coordinators and administrators
  • Plan and supervise logistics for virtual and in-person executive engagements (when appropriate), corporate meetings, screenings, promotional partner activities, and receptions


Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated experience writing and editing copy with compelling storytelling

• Proficient in creating visual collateral utilizing PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in creating clear, effective communications and B2B marketing campaigns


Desired Characteristics

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and problem-solve

• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of individuals across functions, teams, and businesses (internally and externally)

• Experience with logistical support for multiple events (in-person and virtual) with varying lead times, and prioritize deadlines, competing requirements and complexity levels

• Proficiency in software applications including FileMaker Pro, Google and Microsoft Suite

• Possesses public speaking experience, particularly as it pertains to general technology and enterprise messaging

• Working knowledge of animation industry trends, players, and basic CG animation production process preferred
