Communications Coordinator

New York, NY

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a central resource and overseer of company highlights, statistics, talking points, case studies, bios, headshots, etc.
  • Crafting messaging, statements, memos, pitches, releases and other written communications
  • Contributing to content development for internal events and cultural initiatives like retreats and town halls
  • Supporting strategic and creative planning for company-wide communications, including the company magazine and digital newsletters
  • Supporting press needs at consumer events
  • Collaborating with social media team to regularly generate content for corporate social media channels and managing overall content calendar
  • Helping maintain corporate overview materials including: decks; video copy; and one-sheets
  • Helping maintain corporate external websites and company intranet
  • Overseeing the company’s media monitoring and media database service contracts and relationships, and regularly producing media reports
  • Overseeing department internship program
  • Working in conjunction with the internal communications team to assist with all employee onboarding and continued development initiatives
  • Building and strengthening relationships with other key internal service functions (HR, Finance, IT, digital/social) to ensure efforts are aligned and supportive


The candidate will need to be able to think proactively and quickly and collaborate effectively with the global communications team and a wide variety of key internal stakeholders. The candidate must be dynamic, resourceful, curious, and creative, and possess excellent writing and time management skills.


EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years communications experience preferred
  • Strong writing background
  • Strong social media background
  • Familiarity with the entertainment, sports, media, fashion and/or events industries preferred
  • A degree in journalism, PR, marketing or a relevant arts and humanities subject preferred

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proven proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
