Cloud Transformation Specialist

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in sales in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products and platforms.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience with financial and technical challenges large corporations encounter from running modern-day IT operations.
  • Experience in pre-sales or consulting.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to various audiences.
  • Excellent presentation skills (e.g., public speaking, meeting facilitation, etc.).
  • Outstanding business skills (e.g., financial accounting, Return on Investment (ROI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), budget planning, and organizational design).

The Cloud Transformation Specialist is a consultative sales leader that creates the moments across teams and clients that become the transformation for our customers. Specialists have a strong background in designing and implementing cloud transformation and migration programs at scale. They understand how these transformations impact customers in their business, operational, technical, financial and security decision making strategies.


The Cloud Transformation Specialist is a strategic sales overlay role aimed at securing large strategic partnerships with customers through Google Cloud commitment agreements. Specialists work closely with account teams and sales leadership. They organize and lead cross-functional sales pursuit teams on high-profile, multi-solution campaigns. Transformation Specialists combine the competencies of complex large deal selling, strategic consulting, and cloud migration experience. They facilitate executive workshops, organize cross functional teams into a cohesive unit, represent Google Cloud at executive forums, and coach account teams on strategic best practices and industry trends.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $179,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Coach the customer, Google teams, and partners as an “expert practitioner” in Cloud and Digital Transformation, building highly effective “peer” based business relationships with C-level executives.
  • Drive Clarity and Execute with Mastery on Strategic Pursuits. Facilitation of Psychologically Safe Environments.
  • Establish trusted working relationships with Google account teams, sales leadership, engineering, professional services, product management, partners, and executive staff.
  • Organize a cross-functional team of Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Complex Pursuit teams to develop a Transformation Strategy that builds the right path, program, technology, and enablement objectives to help customers achieve their Digital and Cloud Transformation goals.
  • Transition strategy effectively from presales teams to post-sales execution teams and partners.
