Cloud Systems Engineer

Remote (Utah, United States)

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Systems Engineer who possesses the ability to learn and use their knowledge of systems and technologies (especially those listed further in the description below) to create effective solutions - you can be a part of dictating the future path of BambooHR IT teams. How cool! This role requires strong documentation ability, knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, AWS, scripting and CD pipelines, as well as a knowhow of leading/driving/implementing effective technological changes.


You will:

  • Be responsible for building Kubernetes container infrastructure
  • Work with the engineering teams to build and support cloud infrastructure tools
  • Ongoing work with the Software Engineering teams and IT Security teams to build, secure and support infrastructure and pipelines
  • Support & review technical documentation of ongoing processes
  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams to drive automation and efficiency
  • Participate in interviewing, training, and mentoring team members while working
  • cross-functionally to represent the team across all groups and organization levels 
 

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • 3-5 years experience with AWS, Kubernetes, gitops, and container technologies
  • Experience with the following systems: Kubernetes, github, Terraform, ArgoCD/Argo
  • Workflows, CI/CD Pipelines
  • Proven scripting skills to automate the pain away (bash, python)
  • The right person is passionate about containers, automation, and learning
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to make thoughtful proposals,
  • provide alternatives, perform root cause analysis, and demonstrate results through
  • testing & metrics - we want you to take our teams to the next level
