Cannabis Depot Coordinator

Sacramento, CA

At FLOWER CO., Depot Coordinators own the relationships amongst our General Managers and Drive team members . This involves training our depot team members on how to use our tools and holding each driver accountable for our depot and driver performance metrics. In this role, the Depot Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members. You’ll ensure that the right products are delivered to the right person at the right time!


We’re a growing company, so over time, you will work to identify opportunities to automate as much as possible as you work with the General Manager to create a repeatable playbook for other states. Because cannabis only became legal in 2018, the opportunities for creativity are endless. It’s entirely possible that you’ll be responsible for brainstorming and standing up new products. As more and more states increasingly make strides towards legalization, new opportunities will continue to arise.


What you’ll do

  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement- set priorities daily
  • Ensure accurate filling of sales orders by overseeing the creation of delivery routes, cash counting, and inventory control
  • Supervise and assist the loading of delivery vehicles
  • Schedule drivers, approve their time, and aid the General Manager in processing weekly payroll
  • Participate in recruiting, talent management, performance review cycles, and dismissal processes.
  • Provide mentorship, direction, and training to our drivers.
  • Lead by example and resolve workplace conflicts with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  • Utilize world-class customer service skills to address customer concerns.
  • Fill in for General Manager in times of absence- making decisions, holding meetings, and providing accountability
  • Administrative support for your Depot team


Who you are

  • 21 years old or older
  • Have a valid California Driver’s License
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience running day-to-day operations, managing inventory, pushing products, training new employees
  • 3+ years’ management experience in a retail, warehouse, or distribution setting
  • Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
  • Proven ability to drive sales results, have the ability to analyze sales reports, able to identify business trends, and respond quickly
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to grow, manage, and develop teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Superior time management and organization
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Low ego and have a willingness to do whatever needs to be done
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various other business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
  • Must be able to lift/carry 30+ pounds
  • Experience with the Cannabis industry is not a necessity, but a plus
  • Experience in the start-up world preferred
