About the role:

Samsara is looking for an ambitious undergraduate intern who is interested in a career in technology and business. In this internship, you will work closely with the Global Support Operations team, including projects focused on technical product training and documentation, business process, systems and tools, and data analytics. This is an internship in which you will be expected to deliver tangible results for the business, and gain valuable experience along the way.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, be highly organized, and be comfortable juggling competing priorities. The role reports to the Head of Global Support Operations, a team responsible for Service and Operational Excellence for Samsara’s Technical Support organization. 


In this role, your project areas may include: 

  • Technical Training Documentation: Help maintain Samsara’s product use and troubleshooting documentation, through Samsara’s rapid product development and deployment cycle
  • Improve Business Process: Work with each of our Technical Support Managers to identify opportunities and implement changes to achieve process improvement
  • Test and implement new tools: Research best practices for Support technology, including chat bots, self-service tools, social media support, and other cutting edge technology to improve the customer experience.
  • Data Analytics: Perform analysis on a wide variety of datasets to help drive insights into Samsara’s products, customers, and operations.


An ideal candidate has:

  • Currently pursuing BA/BS, preferably in a technical field 
  • Strong analytical skills, and comfortable with Excel or other data analytics tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfort juggling several priorities concurrently
  • A strong work ethic

Regarding COVID-19


With the spread of COVID-19, Samsara's global offices will remain closed until further notice except for employees that require access to hardware and lab equipment. 


Our primary concern is for the health and well-being of our employees as well as candidates. We have transitioned all interviews and onboarding to be conducted virtually via Zoom video conferencing. Employees are also able to work remotely through June 2021 from any US state or country in which they have a valid work authorization. All employees are expected to return to our offices when they reopen except for field-based and fully remote roles.
