Business Operations Analyst II

The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH and BOOST subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing up front analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to:

  • Billing Accuracy
  • Credit Qualification
  • Customer Payments
  • Customer Delinquency, Collections, and Bankruptcy
  • Customer Installation Damage Claims
  • Third Party Provider Payments
  • Fraud and Revenue Assurance

 

Wireless Fraud and Margin Assurance Operations Team Overview:

The Wireless Fraud & Margin Assurance Operations team is responsible for managing day to day operations for customer network related items for Wireless Lines of Business (LOBs). They are responsible for auditing and analyzing customer accounts to ensure billing accuracy of network events across all wireless billing platforms. The job functions include, but are not limited to account auditing and analysis, evaluating and improving overall customer experience, managing initiatives for Wireless, including understanding billing budgets, developing efficiencies and driving improvements to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing network usage and invoicing (>$170M/month) from 3rd party network vendors to ensure that DISH is billed accurately and all usage is correct for all wireless lines of business.
  • Partner with 3rd party network vendors to identify and resolve variances in monthly recurring charges, data usage, international usage, domestic roaming usage, and off network activity.
  • Regularly audit customer accounts to ensure usage on accounts accurately reflects the network activity, usage is consistent with business rules, and customers are correctly charged for network activity.
  • Liaison between the team and IT teams to ensure Issues, Disputes and other projects are submitted and seen to completion in a timely manner
  • Work closely across teams to understand processes and capabilities to be able to represent the team accurately
  • Communicate issues, dispute and project status and timelines with department leadership
  • Identify issues in network usage billing and support enhancement release management, working cross-functionally with IT teams to deploy changes/updates to reconciliation systems and tools
  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e. databases, spreadsheets, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact
  • Analyse network activity to ensure customers are not abusing the network and take appropriate action to resolve
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals

 

A successful Business Operations Analyst II will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and at least two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in Wireless industry preferred
  • Experience Wireless Network Usage reconciliation (or other forms of financial reconciliation) preferred
  • Experience in Program/Project management preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macro
  • Experience with SQL or Microsoft Access is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Google suite
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments

 

Compensation: $48,600.00/Yr. - $67,300.00/Yr.
