Business Controller

Core Responsibilities 

Our team transforms the overarching LEGO Education strategy into financial plans. Timely, insightful, and high-quality reporting – based on equally solid financial estimates will ensure that the plan laid out can be tracked and potential correctional actions taken. In this role, you will join the FP&C team, consisting of 5 passionate and highly skilled colleagues, driving the global LEGO Education agenda within Financial Planning and Controlling. Your key areas of responsibility will be: 

  • Own the Controlling responsibility of two business areas within LEGO Education  
  • Act as sparring partner for the business and be the anchor point for the monthly financial estimates as well as the yearly budgeting 
  • Support business analysis and financials deep dives as when required

The key to success is a strong financial toolbox coupled with an ability to collaborate with a wide group of stakeholders. You will rely on your own, sound judgement to gain a holistic perspective of the business, which requires a strong understanding of the value chain and commercial environment. 


The role provides the opportunity to be co-driving our financial agenda in close collaboration with a Finance Business Partner. In addition, given that the role is solely focused on LEGO Education (separate BU within LEGO Group), you will be exposed to the full value chain of the business and have the benefits of working in an environment with a flat organizational structure. 


Do you have what it takes? 

  • You hold a Masters’ or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Management Accounting, or other similar relevant background. 
  • Can link financial and commercial performance 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with strong business understanding 
  • A solid financial toolbox, including good understanding of overall accounting principles, reporting and budgeting processes. 
  • A passion for and preferably experience with digital tools including BI and other reporting platforms. 
  • A strong partner management focus and a collaborative approach across different partners in and out of Finance  
  • Excellent communication skills - preparing presentations, written communication etc. to non-finance and senior partners. 
  • Fluent in English – you speak and write easily.
