Business Analyst

The Leidos Defense Group currently has an opening for a Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) Business Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to use and build upon your experience assisting the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JPO) through effectively managing and accounting newly acquisitioned property while ensuring audit readiness to support the Federal Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance. This analysis will assist in the development of reports and briefings to keep senior leaders apprised of resource requirements, progress, and challenges utilizing DPAS. Additionally, will assist in developing processes and inventory schedules covering complete cradle-to-grave supply chain management for equipment and materiel from purchase to disposal.


This role will support our DPAS program (Mechanicsburg, PA) and the JPO community in a Hybrid / Remote capacity with on and off-site support with up to 25% travel!


Primary Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst (BA) identifies the functional requirements and then documents/designs the IT solution to integrate the desired feature(s). The BA’s designs provide new capabilities or are used as the basis for modifying existing capabilities due to changes in customer requirements or changes in policies / regulations. 

  • The Business Analyst (BA) will assist in providing Customer Support to the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JPO).
  • Support in maintaining DPAS equipment property records for JPO Fleet Management.
  • Provide operational support of DPAS and process system transactions IAW established policy to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain paperwork and other key supporting documentation, as required, to ensure audit trail of transactions affecting balance of records.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of DPAS records with Lightning II Support Equipment Management System (LSEMS) and resolve variances.
  • Access LSEMS to conduct research and provide Fleet Management support as needed.
  • Liaison with designated Support Equipment Controlling Authorities (SECA) and partner nation representatives as required to resolve supply chain management issues.
  • May be required to travel to locations designated by the JPO to support inventory, data collection or asset valuation data.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree with related experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • US Citizen; Currently possessing or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance upon hire.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based Desktop/Laptop Computers.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. 
  • Ability to be flexible and work hard, in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of property management and logistics management policies, procedures, practices, and concepts affecting mission support operations at various levels of command throughout the DoD.
  • DPAS experience.


Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $72,000.00 - $97,200.00
