What you will do

In this vital role you will work as a statistician in the Centralized Statistical Monitoring (CSM) Team and build machine learning and other statistical models, as well as support their implementation and deployment through a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). CSM is a key component of Quality by Design as advocated in the ICH E6 guideline and is fundamental in ensuring data integrity and quality for analysis.

  • Work with Business owner to support the CSM analysis system
  • Be a key contributor to the statistical team supporting CSM and be accountable for own deliverables and support team members' results
  • Lead the build, implementation and deployment of machine learning models and other statistical models, as assigned by the CSM Statistical Team Lead
  • Lead the development of business requirements through collaborations with cross-functional partners, as assigned by the CSM Statistical Team Lead
  • Support statistical elements related to CSM studies set-up and execution, as the assigned CSM Statistician

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree in statistics or related field OR Master’s degree in statistics or related field and 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech clinical statistics experience OR Bachelor’s degree in statistics or related field and 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech clinical statistics experience OR Associate’s degree in statistics or related field and 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech clinical statistics experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of pharmaceutical/biotech clinical statistics experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large data sets, data mining, and machine learning tools
  • A good understanding of clinical data
  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • Experience constructing data visualizations of clinical data
  • Experience with SAS programming and/or R
  • Understanding of Clinical Trials
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in time-sensitive environments, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration
  • Familiarity with DevOps and software best practices (i.e., version control, continuous integration, test driven development)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $121,844- $135,382.
