Bid Analyst

AIG Retirement Services is seeking a Bid Analyst for our Houston campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to join AIG Retirement Services for candidates who meet the minimum requirements below:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of grammar, spelling, and proper business English
  • Superb and fast writer who upholds the highest standards of the English language
  • Experience in project management with skills that include the ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple assignments in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply strategic problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • 1+ experience in writing responses to RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Proficiency Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access


Preferred:

  • Experience in Financial Services, Life and Annuities Industry
  • Some experience with retirement plans, annuities and mutual funds
  • FINRA licenses (e.g. series 6) is helpful

What we are looking for

The primary purpose of the job is to complete all proposal responses that are to be submitted on AIG Retirement Services’ behalf.


Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Writing responses to ensure that RFPs, RFIs, ITNs and standard proposals are responded to and submitted accurately with up-to-date information by the deadline given.  
  • Supports sales process by preparing Proposals, Executive Summaries, and other materials as needed.
  • Completes Requests for Information and Requests for Qualifications as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of VALIC systems, procedures and mutual fund and annuity products.  
  • Perform self-review of all work prior to submission to ensure compiled effectively and appropriately.
  • Maintains files and records of completed proposals for follow up meetings and demonstrations.
