AV Editor-Videographer

Los Angeles, CA

Create exciting, cutting-edge audio-visual videos aimed at promoting animal rights for the campaigns of PETA and its international affiliates


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA and its affiliates:
  • Create exciting, cutting-edge videos for PETA and its affiliates
  • Design, direct, and conduct video shoots 
  • Work closely with the manager and the director of the Audio/Visual Department on creative aspects and production of all videos
  • Use discretion in choosing appropriate footage for video edits
  • Take responsibility for the quality control of videos
  • Perform light maintenance on all video and photographic equipment and supplies
  • Transfer footage from various locations
  • Abide by any legal guidelines regarding video production from start to completion
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor


Requirements

  • Degree in a related field and five years of related experience
  • Extensive editing experience, including but not limited to experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Familiarity with industrial-grade video and photo equipment
  • Sophisticated understanding of and appreciation for the creative process 
  • Proven effective leadership skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Willingness and ability to travel 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
  • This position requires proof of the COVID-19 full vaccination
