Audit Supervisor

The Internal Audit department provides an objective and professional evaluation of internal control systems, recommends and counsel on improvements in control systems, business processes and an efficient use of resources. This is achieved by reviewing locations internal controls and processes for compliance against corporate and legislative requirements on behalf of the Alcoa Corporation Audit Committee. Our key activities are:

  • Accountability for leading and executing sophisticated audit assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Perform the role of audit discipline team leader and overall leader for integrated audits.
  • Serve as a specialist in Internal Audit and ASAT (Alcoa Self Assessment Test) standards and practices with the ability to field complex questions from locations and other auditors.
  • (FBP) Broad audit experience with expertise in all of the following: Inventory, Account Reconciliation and/or Procurement.
  • Help manage the group’s budget and reporting with explanations for fluctuations.
  • Mentor new members of the Internal Audit team and have at least one mentee.
  • Develop or modify audit work programs and frequently provide functional mentorship and direction to less experienced team members.
  • Transfer knowledge in the form of suggestions to improve Internal Audit processes and to help other department members meet Internal Audit’s mission.
  • Analyze information and make recommendations in limited time frames.
  • Travel to company locations, many of which are manufacturing environments.
  • Lead inter-department cross functional teams
  • Lead compliance investigations and participate in special projects.
  • Work across multiple regions, businesses, cultures, languages, local practices and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of management to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Facilitate positive responses and actions through written and verbal communication skills.


About you:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • 7 years of previous work experience and/or 5 years of prior audit experience.
  • Advanced Degree and/or Professional Certification is preferred.
