Associate Trade Marketing Manager

The Associate Trade Marketing Manager, Color Cannabis & Saturday Cannabis will lead the execution of tactical initiatives at a national scale to support WeedMD’s adult-use brands (Color Cannabis, Saturday Cannabis). As the Associate Trade Marketing Manager, you are responsible for supporting the Senior Marketing Manager in all brand building, trade, shopper and e-comm marketing efforts, including but not exclusive to designing, building, and managing the deployment of retail and clinic marketing tools & promotions in compliance with applicable regulations and in accordance with WeedMD’s brand guidelines.


Job Duties

  • Contribute on an ongoing basis to the execution and development of all brand strategies
  • Coordinate all retail co-promotion tactics ensuring timely execution, through cross-functional collaboration & communication.
  • Support the development of shopper marketing strategy for Color Cannabis, Saturday Cannabis nationally to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Lead the deployment of tactics related to patient acquisition and retention with Starseed.
  • Support the briefing, development and project management of relevant marketing materials, merch and rep selling tools.
  • Oversee the deployment of in-store co-promo shipments.
  • Lead Sage inputs to manage vendor quotes, PO creation and payments in accordance to brand budgets.
  • Brief and project manage the IT/Dev team across all website updates/rehauls.
  • Budget tracking for marketing activities, including monthly reconciliations


Requirements

  • Post-secondary education (college or university) in Marketing, Advertising, Business or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years marketing experience in CPG, experience in the cannabis industry considered an asset.

  • Minimum 2 years marketing experience in CPG, experience in the cannabis industry considered an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an Assistant and/or Associate Marketing Role in CPG industry (Pharma, Bev-Alc, Tobacco, Cannabis, preferred)
  • Travel Required
  • Valid Drivers License Required
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand-building and brand management
  • Proven track record in creating and executing successful marketing programs.
  • Superior communication skills are required (verbal, written and comprehension)
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative.
  • Highly effective project management, managing a budget, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about retail and wants bring marketing experiences to life in store
  • Collaborative and can partner with cross-functional teams of peers and external partners
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated Enthusiastic about joining a fun, dynamic team
  • Experience with Adobe & Microsoft Suite is preferred
