At Wilson, the Associate Social Media Manager, Content + Paid Social Growth is an analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced situations, can seamlessly liaise with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally and who has a strong understanding of social media best practices, reporting and analytics.


This role is responsible for developing and growing our social media presence across new and existing social media platforms through a clear and engaging content strategy. This role is also expected to be an expert in utilizing paid social media tactics to drive audience growth and engagement across Wilson’s Master Brands Social Media profiles. This role will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in marketing, creative and communications – to bring brand content pillars to life across the social landscape


What You'll Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Social Strategy to build and implement a paid social strategy that focuses on growth – building brand heat and relevancy.
  • Ability to create target audience profiles and learn their priorities and content needs.
  • Proven success to manage paid social media campaigns to drive audience growth and engagement – specifically on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Bring rolodex of skilled content creators to the table for brand to tap into on an ongoing / regular basis.
  • Support social strategy in the development of content pillars / plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Wilson Marketing team to ideate and launch campaigns.
  • Serve as the “channel expert” bringing a unique perspective on how we can meet the consumer where they’re at through a tailored content approach (different content for different platforms)
  • Locate and engage potential advocates within the brand’s social community; work with Manager of Social Strategy with the goal of creating engaging content, third party endorsements and long-term online advocacy of the brand
  • Oversee consistent brand presence in social on a global level, which includes cascading strategies, providing feedback on content, ensuring proper knowledge of how the Wilson brand is expressed in social media (market to market) and growing social acumen of counterparts in priority global markets
  • Monitor and analyze social media insights to measure the effectiveness of our audience growth strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for audience growth on social media platforms.
  • Stay current on platform updates and innovations, applying best practices across the board
  • Develop and present reports to brand leadership including metrics, community insights & key learnings; present key insights in a compelling, strategic way
  • Provide continuous analysis & insights around the performance of all social engagement
  • Gather and analyze insights from across social; monitor competitors in the space and surface relevant learnings to the team


What We're Looking For

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, film production, creative design or a related field plus 3+ years of experience in an agency or corporate setting or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

 

Plus, the following skills

  • Subject matter expertise in social media content – first-hand experience with major platforms, their differences, benefits and unique features, including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, SnapChat and more
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Illustrator, etc.
  • Experience leveraging social media management and analytics tools, such as Sprinklr
  • People oriented – Proven experience working as part of a team with common goals
  • Strong project management skills with ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Excellent written and in-person communication skills
  • Social savvy – Addicted to social networking; consider yourself an early adopter of new tools & functions
  • Interest in and knowledge of the sports landscape (including but not limited to basketball / football / volleyball / baseball / golf / tennis / athletic fashion) is a huge benefit.
