Associate Photographer

Austin, TX

We are looking for a talented and passionate photographer to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of the Associate Photographer is to support the day to day shooting workflow in the studio. 


This role will concentrate on product silo photography, with additional responsibilities in basic videography and editing.


This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our creative team to produce high-quality photography and video assets.


In This Role

  • Shoot product silo photography upholding the Four Hands quality standards
  • Ensure consistency in lighting, composition, and color accuracy
  • Assist the Photographers and Videographers on set in the planning and execution of photo shoots
  • Work closely with the photographer, stylists, and other team members to understand project goals and ensure that the visual content aligns with the Four Hands vision
  • Set up lighting, backgrounds, and props, ensuring the setup aligns with the overall art direction and aesthetic goals 
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Leadership teams to film and edit training videos 
  • Assist in the post-production process
  • Maintain the equipment closet, including updating ordering quantities and ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition 
  • Uphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team 
  • Other duties as assigned by Management


The Ideal Person

  • 1+ years’ experience in studio or related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in photography or related field
  • Capture One and Photoshop experience
  • Basic knowledge of video production and editing
  • Understanding of strobe lighting scenarios, with experience in Profoto being a plus 
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to move or lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand/lift for up to 8 hours. 
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
