Associate Manager of Communications

Concord, MA

Welch's is hiring for an Associate Manager of Communications to join their Integrated Marketing Communications team. In this role you'll support all internal and external communications including brand and product publicity, influencer engagement, employee engagement, and social media strategy, with the opportunity to lead various projects.


What You'll Do As An Associate Manager, Communications:

Internal Communications:

  • Own Corporate Content calendar, working cross-functionally to update with key news and events and identifying when and where to promote.
  • Support Sr. Manager on writing and/or editing internal memos, emails, and invitations to ensure consistent tone of voice.
  • Support content creation on internal communications channels such as Intranet and Yammer to ensure employees feel informed and engaged.


Consumer Engagement:

  • Own LinkedIn content calendar including working cross functionally to uncover content, draft copy, and secure approvals.
  • Support Sr. Manager on our social media strategy including content suggestions, securing approvals, tracking analytics and monitoring for trends and conversations Welch's should join that drive engagement.
  • Community management support on all social channels including flagging consumer concerns and responding to fans.


Corporate Communications & Publicity:

  • Support Sr. Manager in crafting and routing press releases, messaging, and media comments.
  • Monitor industry news and identify opportunities for Welch's to join conversations.
  • Curate trade and business press lists.


Influencer Engagement:

  • Develop and foster an organic influencer network that our consumers can get to know and trust.
  • Support Sr. Manager on product seeding programs including ideation, coverage monitoring, and results reporting.



Partnership & Licensing Support:

  • Provide recommendations for new licensing opportunities or brand partnerships either within existing partners or potential new partnerships.


Who You Are:

  • You have superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • You think big and get creative to bring ideas to life.
  • You pay close attention to detail.
  • You are social media savvy and stay current on news, trends and of course, memes.


What You'll Need:

  • 2-5 years public relations and/or corporate communications experience, preferably with a background in the CPG/Food industry.
  • BA in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience developing presentations and social media content using Canva or other digital graphic design tools.
  • Social media listening/analytics tools experience.
