Associate Director, Social Marketing & Strategy

New York, NY

We're looking for an Associate Director to join our social team to oversee a portfolio of consumer brands. Ideally, you have 7+ years of experience, love social media, and get excited to collaborate and partner with creative teams and clients. 


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and optimize social media marketing strategy, managing the Social Media Strategists & Associates to deliver brand right social campaigns that deliver against predetermined KPIs.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging social media tactics and opportunities, including delivering on-time social insights to drive campaigns in partnerships with Content Lab, Creative & Influencer teams that deliver on company goals and that engage and excite a wider range of qualified consumers to the brand.
  • “Oversees” and “does” – pushes work forward from the direct reports through iteration, adding of opportunities and identifying ways to make the work better.
  • Oversee social media campaigns (by channel), ensuring that all social media best practices and tactics are fully integrated into the annual master marketing plan, key brand initiatives, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate and ideate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated social media marketing plans.
  • Direct and implement proper controls to ensure that social media marketing initiatives are implemented in a timely manner, either meeting or exceeding brand expectations.

  • Lead the development of team members to create an environment that encourages active participation, creativity, accountability, and team work with paths for advancement and improvement.
  • Provides direction and gains compliance. Includes direct reports in planning.
  • Takes responsibility for direct reports' activities.
  • Makes self available to direct reports.
  • Provides regular performance feedback.
  • Develops direct reports' skills and encourages growth.


New Business

  • Supports in new business efforts.

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years working in social media, at an agency, or similar environment
  • Hands-on ownership when it comes to developing social media strategies 
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Expreience managing jr. level employees
