Associate Director of Social Media

Los Angeles, CA

Position Objective

Work collaboratively to strengthen ThirdLove’s social media community engagement and growth, and increase brand identity, awareness, and visual presence.


Essential Job Responsibilities

You’ll be on the front lines of building and strengthening ThirdLove’s organic social community as you’ll create content and write copy for daily consumer-facing content. Through connecting with the ThirdLove audience via creative output, bringing fresh eyes and ideas to the team, flexing your creative problem-solving skills, and maintaining a positive and energetic spirit, you will be a valued and respected new member of the organic social team.


Content Creation

  • Capture lofi video and static content at all Los Angeles held photoshoots and events
  • Create engaging social-first content for ThirdLove and Kit Undergarments – from Reels, TikToks, IG Stories, memes, and more!
  • Write on-brand copy to support visual assets (from IG Stories, captions, video text overlay, etc.)
  • Visually plan the IG grid in collaboration with the team
  • Collaborate with the team on innovative creative concepts to support strategy


Social Listening

  • Stay up-to-date with trending topics and communicate relevant opportunities to the team
  • Identify trending audios on a weekly basis to support Reels and TikToks
  • Stay up-to-date on tagged UGC and identify opportunities to repurpose content on ThirdLove’s owned channels


Admin

  • Post assets as planned (Reels, TikToks, IG Stories, etc)
  • With close attention to detail, efficiently schedule content utilizing Dash Hudson
  • Aid in the reporting process by keeping Dash Hudson boards and campaigns up to date on a weekly basis


Various other tasks and duties as assigned or needed


Physical Demands (Walking, lifting, equipment, operation, etc.)

This position is mostly remote, but occasionally the employee must physically be in the office. The following physical demands and their onsite equivalents should be taken into consideration.

  • Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 60% of the time
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, printer, etc.
  • See: The ability to observe details at close range like digital writing (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Talk & Speak clearly: The ability to verbally communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations, many of these interactions can be online and require verbal exchanges.
  • Hear & Verbal Comprehension: The ability to listen to what other colleagues verbally express and understand the information that has been provided.
  • Walk: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Thought Processing: be able to make logical connections between thoughts and/or actions. Be able to understand their relevance to achieve a goal or keep the thread of conversation.


Education, Work Experience & Special Skills/Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite or Canva, CapCut or Splice preferred, but not required
  • Love for social media, content, and empowering women
  • Creative problem solver with an optimistic mindset
  • Possess an eye for visual story-telling
  • Pride yourself on your ability to create a fun and inclusive online community
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to efficiently meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well with others both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills, both written, oral, and interpersonal
  • Excitement to keep up with the ever-changing social media landscape
