Associate Director of Environmental, Health, & Safety Compliance

AECOM has a position available for an Associate Director of Environmental, Health, & Safety Compliance located in Conshohocken at our Client's site.


The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Work with the capital team to Plan, develop and implement EHS programs in order to
  • assure compliance with local legislation, MSD's standards and industry best practices.
  • Serve as interface with governmental EHS agencies and insurance carriers.
  • Support Leadership and steering team to create their local EHS programs, through
  • each site Operations team or directly. Assist Operational departments in achieving and
  • establishing compliance.
  • Prepare required reports to site, divisional and/or corporate management and
  • regulatory agencies.
  • Manage budgetary & capital needs to support EHS initiatives, projects and programs.
  • Evaluate, with other site depts., the requirements related to EHS applicable for new
  • projects and processes as well as changes in the existing processes and installation.
  • Responsible for overseeing all environmental programs to ensure compliance of site
  • EHS permits and licenses.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience must include supporting multiple activities/projects simultaneously and working with EHS regulatory agencies and Corporate support functions.
  • Must have experience that includes interacting with and influencing senior management at a site level including development of leading / lagging metrics as well as strategic problem solving
  • Must be willing to work at Client site on a daily basis
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Safety and Environment or related discipline is desired
  • 10+ years of demonstrated and relevant experience to include one or more of the following is desired:
  • supporting multiple activities/projects and on working with SHE regulatory agencies and Corporate support functions,
  • experience in a client facing EHS role and the ability to interact with all levels of staff from junior to senior-level management and the ability to influence senior management at a site level (development of leading and lagging metrics and strategic problem solving).
  • Previous experience as Client representative in an EHS role

  • Must be capable of walking long distances on a daily basis
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
