Work Schedule: Híbrido – Torrance, CA


Moog Aircraft Group has an immediate opening for an Associate Design Engineer to join our Design and Development Engineering team.  You will help design electromechanical and mechanical components and systems for flight control applications. 


Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will have a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option in Torrance, CA (3 days/week in the office)

As an Associate Design Engineer, you will:

  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical write ups and reports.
  • Help create reliable designs by supporting a comprehensive experimental development test program.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
  • Operate as a member in a team of creative, independent individuals, soliciting and being sensitive to design feedback.
  • Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation.


To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (ideally by January 2025).
  • This job requires access to United States export-controlled information


It’d be great if you also had:

  • Internship experience related to design engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in CAD software

Salary Range Transparency:

$80,000.00–$104,000.00 Annually | Torrance, CA

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.


The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
