Assistant Manager Social Media

Youth To The People is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to support, optimize and grow our social media channels. With a core focus on community management, social listening and reporting, this role is part of a dynamic, fast-paced team that relies on strong cross-functional relationships, keen brand awareness and excellent judgment. 


This role offers an exciting opportunity on our team and allows for direct, hands-on experience working with influencers, social media, marketing, branding and the chance to learn about a booming industry. The candidate will be working directly with the marketing team, contributing daily to improve the company’s brand recognition. You will also focus on providing a best-in-class community experience directly on our owned social platforms and with our brand advocates. 


The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for increasing YTTP’s social media presence and gaining visibility for the brand among beauty lovers. You will be working with many people across all internal departments, as well as external teams (brand teams, vendors/agencies, etc.). As such, this position requires a high level of initiative, incredible people skills, clear communication and follow through, attention to detail, sense of humor, positive attitude, ability to think / troubleshoot quickly, plus understanding of marketing strategy and our brands’ business objectives and positioning. 


Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and share social posts on Instagram. 
  • Copywriting for all social posts. 
  • Work with the Director of Social to maintain the social and marketing calendars, updating regularly to capture new product launches, promotional offerings, and brand activations. 
  • Weekly and monthly reports based on top KPIs. 
  • Storyboard and create innovative Instagram Story frames. 
  • Coordinate giveaways with brands and influencers. 
  • Work cross-functionally with both in-house and contracted creative teams to create effective, engaging, and on-brand social content for stories. 
  • Manage day-to-day communications via DMs, comments, and UGC to drive overall brand engagement and experience with CS support. 
  • Research and keep up to date on emerging platforms and social technologies. 
  • Partner with the influencer team on content strategy to incorporate Influencer-generated content and determine collaborations, giveaways, and other promotional activations. 
  • Maintain an active understanding of social and community trends – informing and implementing with the greater team.
  • Partner with Sephora team to produce monthly content for added exposures. 
  • Create + film compelling video content with founders 
  • Manage and launch esthetician program while curating video content for social channels. 
  • Evaluate new platforms (Tiktok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Create content for multiple platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, etc.)
  • Cross-platform collaboration with team. 
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications 

  • 1-3 years of experience in influencer marketing, PR, or relationship management. 
  • Beauty, skincare, or wellness experience are a plus. 
  • Passionate about creating best-in-class relationships and experiences. 
  • Strong visual and verbal presentation skills. 
  • Self-starter with a knack for implementing ideas with speed. 
  • Ability to think analytically, with a results-driven mentality. 
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints. 
  • Team player mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit.
