Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing

The Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing, is responsible for assisting a Senior Director, Senior Manager and Manager in the development, management, and execution of all US influencer, press, VIP, and consumer engagement strategies for Marc Jacobs Fragrances, Calvin Klein Fragrances, BOSS Fragrances, Tiffany & Co. Fragrances, and Orveda skincare, to drive awareness, consideration and demand.


This role will be responsible for US press outreach, event execution, VIP seeding, and US influencer program execution – both paid and unpaid. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will support the team in budget management, external agency management, as well as the creation of strategic activation evaluations and recaps. The Assistant Manager will oversee a Coordinator in the development of monthly and quarterly recap reports, influencer and media list management and maintenance.


The Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing should be adept at juggling multiple activation priorities, be highly organized and proactive in their approach, with a positive, team-oriented attitude. The position calls for an enthusiastic social media consumer who is tapped into the beauty category, has strong writing skills and a genuine passion for beauty, specifically fragrance and skincare, and the influencer marketing/public relations field. The position requires a strong communicator interested in cultivating meaningful creator, beauty editor and VIP relationships. Experience working with luxury brands, specifically skincare and fragrance, is a strong plus.


The role acts as an internal liaison with Global Influencer Marketing, US and Global Marketing, Digital, Media, E-Comm, and external agencies to ensure 360, comprehensive programming that harnesses the power of traditional and digital media to facilitate and inspire connections and engagement between our brand and its target audiences.



In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the development and execution of local communication strategies including:
  • Event proposals
  • Editorial beauty press
  • Influencer partnerships, seeding proposals and guidelines
  • Press, influencer and VIP mailer proposals
  • Calendars/local activation timelines
  • Assist in the creation, management and execution of US press and influencer campaign guidelines and local event proposals to secure extensive coverage across a variety of mediums in the US market
  • Research, vet and contract influencer partners for campaigns and initiatives
  • Manage and execute organic influencer seedings and creative mailing efforts
  • Maintain an understanding of the overall influencer landscape and functionality related to each social media platform; research and stay up-to-date on top tier influencer brand partnerships and monitor competitive partnerships regularly; share updates to Leadership as requested
  • Support local event preparation and execution
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key influencers, beauty editors, agents, VIPs, and external agencies/vendors
  • Manage and oversee influencer and press recaps, reporting and tracking platforms (Traackr, DMR), identifying key insights to optimize brand strategy
  • Liaise with the Global Influencer Marketing, US and Global Marketing, Media, Digital, E-Comm and teams to ensure that communications are synergistic with marketing campaigns and other brand initiatives
  • Assist in management of external agencies on the execution of VIP initiatives
  • Assist in management of external agencies on the execution of influencer initiatives, developing content briefings and contract negotiations to ensure strategic and executional excellence
  • Oversee purchase order process for timely payments of agencies, influencer partners and contracted vendors
  • Manage forecasts and product orders, press materials and other assets in a timely manner via Prometheus and SAP
  • Originate and execute trend pitches, seasonal pitches, mailings, and other press outreach
  • Assist in the management of detailed brand budgets on a regular basis to ensure accuracy


We’d love to see candidates who have:


  • 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications or Related Field
  • 3+ years of Public Relations, Influencer Marketing and/or related experience
  • Existing beauty editor relationships and strong understanding of the editorial landscape
  • Existing influencer and agent relationships; influencer campaign management mandatory
  • Agency, beauty and luxury skincare and fragrance-specific experience a strong plus
  • Interest in the Beauty, Public Relations and Influencer Marketing industries
  • Based in or near NYC
