Who You Are:

Museum of Ice Cream is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our fun-filled team. You are thoughtful and ambitious, confident in leading a team full of joy ambassadors, performers, actors, and foodies. Your strong skill set will allow you to manage a variety of tasks alongside C-Suite executives, the idea of strategic and programmatic P&L targets doesn’t scare you. You take great pride in delivering a memorable guest experience and maintaining a seamless operation. You are excited and have the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including weekends.


What You Will Do:

The Assistant General Manager position is a GM in training for both daily business operations and strategic initiatives . The “AGM” is a true leader who never says never. You must have experience in a managerial leadership role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork and clearly communicate business objectives. The “AGM” must be able to competently perform all duties in the absence of the General Manager and Operational managers.


In order to be qualified for the job, you may be asked to present a presentation deck on topics assigned to you during the interview process.


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Work alongside the General Manager in recruiting, training, payroll processing, and people operations.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager in planning short and long term projects, budgets, expense controls, schedules, and manpower.
  • Act as liaison between front line employees and the General Manager.
  • Have strong experience working around HR, discipline, and training of line staff
  • Develop and implement strategy and business plans to achieve business targets.
  • Evaluate key productivity indicators and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that the operational activities meet organizational requirements.
  • Delegate daily work assignments and schedules for employees.
  • Nurture positive working relationships with staff and address any issues in a timely fashion.
  • Supervise staff and control merchandise, ordering and inventory.
  • Set examples in line with MOIC culture and values.
  • Support operations team with any other duties that may arise.
  • Interest in moving cities is critical for an AGM to step into GM roles permanently or temporarily.


Requirements
  • Food Handler / ServeSafe certification and alcohol training certified
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good observation skills
  • An ability to deliver constructive criticism
  • An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
  • Leadership and time management skills
  • Demonstrate personal and customer service skills

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
