Assistant Designer

The Assistant Designer for Baby knits will assist in weekly functions/ tasks or project based work covering the baby knit department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Assist with research in the market as it pertains to product, trim and graphic/ techniques, Create inspiration boards
• In collaboration with Concept team; receive direction, inspiration from Creative director to prepare for seasonal kick off
• Create CADs as directed , prepare stats/ line sheets for board review and handoffs 
• Assist in the creation of design presentation to design leadership 
• Update sketches to match proto and bulk approvals
• Upload sketches, color ways, detail sketches and layouts to PLM 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• BA in Fashion or related field preferred
• Design internship experience a plus
• Proficiency in ADOBE Creative Suite such as AI, PS, Indesign , XD
• 3D design proficency a plus 
• Ability to work with sense of urgency 
• Affinity and passion for the RL brand and children's apparel
