Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in an agency or an in-house creative team at an organization
  • Portfolio of work that shows a modern design aesthetic


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience vetting creative partners and assisting in agency selection.
  • Strong executive presence and experience interfacing with senior leaders. Experience building and leading a team of creatives.
  • Self-motivated, articulate, and possess excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to offer creative consulting to other members of the team, internal partners and agencies.
  • Passionate about experiential design.
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours.

The Events and Experiences team is part of the Google Marketing organization. This specialist team brings the magic of Google to life through physical and digital experiences that make our brand tangible and shareable. You will collaborate across teams and departments to create delightful, one-of-a-kind experiences that leave a lasting impression.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating the overall art direction and design of Google’s events and experiences. You will serve as a liaison between the events team, marketing teams, and our agencies to ensure that the creative vision is carried from concept through execution. You will be a resource for the events team to ensure we are designing the right experiences to help us achieve our goals. You will thrive under pressure, have a clean, fresh and modern design aesthetic, and have a passion for events and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a complete art direction and know how to bring it to life.
  • Oversee all design elements to ensure the project is cohesive while sticking with a set aesthetic and concept from start to finish.
  • Be able to clearly communicate design vision and creative intent via storyboards/mood boards and other tools while delegating to designers, animators and creators.
  • Establish best practices for creating the right event experience and design for Google’s highest profile launch moments.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with other members of the events and experiences team, product teams and agency partners.
