What You'll Do

We are currently seeking an Art Director, Copy and Moving Content to provide direction and creative solutions for in-house motion and video brand content across all our business units and brands.

This role places a significant emphasis on social media, video production, and motion graphics, making it an exciting opportunity for a creative leader ready to make a substantial impact.

This individual will work closely with the Art Directors, marketing and creative teams within our business units to create engaging content across multiple channels, ensuring that all creative work is aligned with the company brand/corporate identity.

The Art Director works closely with the producer and designers to ensure work is completed on time and within budget. This individual presents and articulates the creative process from inspiration to final design solution by email or face-to-face with internal clients at all levels in the organization.


Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Drives the vision and leads the creative execution for in-house generated “moving content” (motion, video) in collaboration with the Sport ADs, Marketing Teams, Ecommerce Team, and Executive Creative Director. 
  • Reflects and expresses brand strategies through compelling copywriting and storytelling across multiple consumer touchpoints, including breakthrough content and new product storytelling.
  • Along with the in-house Video and Motion Team, develops scripts, treatments and content franchises for the brand and business unit teams with a very heavy emphasis on content creation for DTC and social media (paid & organic).
  • Supports Brand Agency in creation of content for brand-level initiatives and key moments in time. 
  • Operates as the in-house expert on moving content, driving innovative, scrappy approaches to content production, creator networks and editing.
  • Mentors design team regarding Wilson approaches to new areas of design.
  • Manages and works with Content Producer to capture, organize, and prioritize all projects for tracking and budgeting.
  • Oversees where requested the story and vision behind Tier 1 campaign level or social critical photo shoots. 

What We're Looking For 

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field plus a minimum of 7-10 years of previous design, copywriting, and/or art director experience as well as at least 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports. A passion for sports is also a plus!


Other Qualifications Include:

  • Copywriting experience across channels for short and long form content with low- to mid-range budgets with a heavy emphasis on digital and social content
  • Portfolio showcasing beautiful copywriting and creative that includes case studies
  • Extensive knowledge in social media, with an ability to design solutions/concepts that bridge customer and business needs
  • Ability to translate strategic business goals into rich, platform-specific storytelling
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills
  • Proven outstanding ability to work under pressure, be flexible with work hours, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Driven to raise the bar, challenge the status quo, and experiment with approaches outside of the comfort zone to deliver results and create impact.
  • Thorough understanding of creative production planning and process; ability to estimate project scopes of work and time required to complete projects
