We are looking for an Art Director to join our internal creative studio within the SoFi marketing department. You’ll partner with product marketers, project managers, and other cross-functional partners to create assets for several key products within our borrow team including SoFi Student Loan Refinancing, SoFi Home Loan, and SoFi Personal Loan. 


We’re looking for someone who is driven, forward-thinking, and nimble enough to collaborate with your creative partners on messaging as well as visual design. You’ll be joining a supportive, fun team culture of creative people excited to come to work every day in order to help people get their money right.


What you’ll do:

  • Own end-to-end concept and design for marketing projects across a variety of digital mediums for the Borrow team, including but not limited to:
  • Digital and Broadcast Videos
  • Email Design
  • In app messages
  • Social media posts
  • Brand level campaigns and assets
  • Webpages
  • Digital Display Banners
  • Create marketing materials for engaging, fast growing products
  • Collaborate effectively with your team copywriter on compelling messaging.
  • Create work that is visually exciting, forward-thinking, and emotionally engaging.
  • Help us test, iterate, and optimize designs to consistently deliver and improve business results.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow members of the creative, web, and development teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders, like product marketing, lifecycle marketing, and strategy 
  • Champion the SoFi brand and user experience, and help shape SoFi’s brand narrative.
  • Be a part of our close knit in-house Creative Studio, producing award winning, first-in-class advertising and marketing materials.
  • A minimum of three years working as an art director at an ad agency, in-house creative department, or freelancing for major brands.
  • Must have a strong well-rounded portfolio full of beautiful, yet functional, work that demonstrates the ability to deliver business results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • English proficiency and excellent eye for design and pixel perfection
  • Ad/portfolio school education preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and iterate on different design options based on stakeholder and creative feedback.
  • Very comfortable collaborating with copywriters, product marketers, brand strategists, and other cross functional partners. 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with tight timelines while producing high-quality work.
  • You work to understand how the business functions, and strategies and goals of the Product Marketing Managers.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in similar regulated industries, primarily FinTech and Insurance is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial services/personal finance a plus


Software:

Proficient in design software and tools including Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge in Figma is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location. 

 

Pay Range: $76,800.00 - $144,000.00


Payment Frequency: Annual
