Art Director

Miami, FL

This is a long term freelance role with potential to turn into a full time role. 


As an Art Director at alma, you'll breathe life into visionary concepts through forward-thinking design. Alongside shaping the visual identity of our clients’ campaigns, you'll craft initial concepts.


We seek an energetic creative who relishes client briefs, possessing a keen eye for design and an instinct for emerging trends. A dedicated advertising enthusiast who stays abreast of industry news, effortlessly referencing design influences and recalling favorite commercials.


You'll integrate seamlessly with a Creative Director team, benefiting from mentorship and opportunities to expand your creative horizons across a diverse clientele in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your role will encompass guiding the creative journey from initial presentations to finalizing layout mechanicals before they grace billboards and beyond.


This role would take place within our Miami, FL office, adhering to a 3-2 hybrid work mode. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Copywriter to ideate and conceptualize creative strategies that seamlessly integrate visual and written elements.
  • Develop and execute visually compelling design components for advertising campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and target audience preferences.
  • Produce designs for campaigns that reflect the client's brand identity and resonate with the intended audience across various mediums such as TV commercials, digital campaigns, and print advertisements.
  • With guidance and direction, work across all content platforms from TV commercials, print, digital, social, and experiential.
  • Stay updated on emerging popular culture and trends to inform creative decisions and maintain relevance in visual storytelling.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Communications, or a related visual design field.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous work and creative capabilities.
  • Proficient technical skills, including Macintosh, Keynote, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong understanding and experience in design, brand development, and the creative process.
  • Ability to work on integrated campaigns across both print and web design platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively at all levels.
