Area Sales Vice President

Virginia Beach, VA

The Area Sales Vice President is responsible for building and developing a high-performing Sales team within a defined territory to drive revenue growth and to achieve sales quotas. He/she develops and executes a strategic plan for reliably delivering quota, effectively managing referral relationships, acquiring talent, and expanding the area. The Area Sales Vice President is field active; coaching the performance of sellers and leaders, and provides on-going learning and development opportunities to his/her team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate Paycor sales vision, business plans, and organizational updates to the Sales team, driving alignment at all levels within the area.*
  • Develop a strategic plan for reliably delivering quota, including leveraging referral sources, capturing key prospects, managing staffing plans, and expanding the area.*
  • Build partnerships with channel partners to capture business referrals.*
  • Execute marketing plans to develop local referenceable clients and increase brand awareness.*
  • Recruit, interview, and select talent to build a high-performing Sales team.*
  • Manage the performance and professional development of sales executives and sales leaders.*
  • Oversee development and implementation of individual and regional business plans.*
  • Ensure Sales team alignment with Paycor sales processes, practices, and policies.
  • Analyze sales activity and results to direct performance and to provide input to senior management reporting.
  • Represent Paycor in the community to enhance business relationships and to increase brand awareness.
  • Ensure ethical business practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience leading a high-performing sales team
  • Ability to manage and analyze all areas associated with sales activities and processes to track and ensure goals are achieved
  • Proven track record of leading a sales team to overachievement of assigned quota
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales talent, including individual contributor sellers AND sales leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • 4 year business degree

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. We anticipate the base pay for this position to be between $180,000-200,000. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for commission. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you'll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
