Administrative Assistant

Provides administrative support to a department. Partners with Department Manager to coordinate administrative activities. Performs a variety of administrative support to assist staff members with complex details and advanced administrative duties. Executes special or continuous research-type work and data analysis tasks. Analyzes problems, determines approach, completes and analyzes available data and makes recommendations. Coordinates high level activities between divisions/departments and external contacts, including members. Works with internal EPRI personnel at all organizational levels to gather and deliver critical information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including word processing, slides and presentations and production of reports.

  • Assist with employee inquiries and communication
  • Track and follow-up on various action items to insure schedules and due dates are met.
  • Coordinate calendars to manage priorities and avoid conflicts.
  • Track financial (and budget) information.
  • Assist in the creation/implementation of processes to support the organization.

  • Make executive travel arrangements and travel expense reporting - Concur experience is required
  • Order office supplies
  • Develop and maintain file systems
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.


Education and Experience

  • Require High School diploma.
  • Require 3 to 5 years of experience as a secretary/administrative assistant.


Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong cooperative teaming attitude is a must. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint and other specialized programs used by EPRI. Working proficiency with Cvent, SAP and other specialized business applications is a plus. Internet-savvy to navigate internet in searching for timely and relevant information as necessary. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines, while supporting multiple staff.


The salary range for this position is $42,750 USD to $52,500 USD annually.


This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
