Administrative Assistant

Taylorville, IL

The Administrative Assistant greets visitors and directs them appropriately by providing professional and excellent customer service. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks, as well as being responsible for mail distribution.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer the phone in a professional manner and direct calls to the correct offices
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Greet visitors and connect them with the appropriate employee
  • Assist visitors with wifi access
  • Helping maintain workplace security by issuing, checking and collecting badges and maintaining visitor log
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Scanning of Purchase Orders, Credits, Bill of Ladings, Delivery Tickets, etc.
  • Book Travel Arrangments
  • Keep Inventory of supplies and order as needed
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Assist team in assigned project work

 

Essential skills

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or in related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Intermediate/ advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Professionalism
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Organization
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem Solving Skills
