Ad Operations Manager

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our Project and Media Operations Team will focus on capturing business requirements and ensuring flawless execution of campaigns. We are seeking an AVP, Ad Operations to lead efforts in ensuring delivery of marketing operational excellence, supporting business partners across the Synchrony enterprise. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and pushing adoption of paid media operational processes, with a focus on site tagging, trafficking and operations management that supports an omnichannel marketing team. 


This position is currently remote, where you’ll be work from home, but may be required to work in one of our offices in the future or occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develop campaign structure within a digital advertising management platform, ex. Prisma 
  • Execute cross channel ad operations and trafficking work within Google Campaign Manager 360  
  • Publish media tags and help build out campaigns within various DSPs including Display and Video 360, TheTradeDesk, Verizon and Amazon 
  • Work with account management and creative teams to implement advanced digital ad formats as needed 
  • Implement brand safety monitoring and blocking tagging with DoubleVerify 
  • Execute quality assurance (QA) across campaigns pre and post launch to ensure flawless digital execution and to confirm compliance with regulatory needs 
  • Work with channel teams, media vendors and ad tech platforms to troubleshoot media tracking when necessary 
  • Work with account management and analytics teams to ensure sites, apps, and landing pages have correct tagging deployed and that tracking architecture will result in the correct level of detail for post campaign analysis 
  • Maintain, implement, and evolve site tagging, including custom variables, for advanced reporting, optimization, and personalization 
  • Create, manage, and implement site code and UTM parameters across all campaign linking URLs to advance campaign tracking and analysis 
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 6+ years marketing experience  
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ad operations – actively tagging, trafficking and executing within digital buying and campaign management tools at an agency or brand 
  • Must have trafficked multi-channel digital campaigns within the Google Marketing Platform (CM, DV360, GA360, Google Ads, YouTube), Facebook, Verification and Measurment Partners, such as DoubleVerify, Nielsen and Comscore 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working within Ensighten, Google Tag Manager or similar tag management platform to execute and troubleshoot tagging across marketing sites 

 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Solid knowledge in ad operations media landscape, specifically around site tagging framework, trafficking, creative ad formats, brand safety and associated technologies 
  • Understanding of the technical build of a digital campaign within a DSP (programmatic bidding structure, tagging, trafficking, deal creation, audience management etc.) 
  • Experience with Prisma or similar digital advertising management platform 
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to juggle competing demands and effectively prioritize tasks 
  • Experience working in an Agile project management framework  


Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD Annual


Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
