Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our organization. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, managing accounting processes, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to drive process improvements and efficiency.


Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform financial analysis, identify key financial trends, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions.

 

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against budget, and provide variance analysis reports to senior management.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and business plans to support growth initiatives and investment decisions.

 

Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee the preparation of financial documents and records for external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and provide guidance and training to team members as necessary.

 

Team Management and Development:

  • Manage a team of accountants, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and effective communication among team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide opportunities for skill development and career advancement.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Implement automated systems and tools to simplify routine tasks and enhance data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and integrate processes with other departments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
  • 2-3 years- Management Experience
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team management and development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • CPA Preferred
  • Big Four experience a plus
