Accounting Manager

Miami, FL

Duties include but are not limited to preparing and reporting direct to consumer financial results to Management and supervision of accounting staff.


Responsibilities

  • Review and approve month – end journal entries & bank reconciliations for direct to consumer area
  • Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Review month - end balance sheet schedules and proposed adjusting journal entries as deemed necessary
  • Approve all retail invoices for payment
  • Prepare information to outside auditors on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Special projects as necessary
  • Serve as liaison between retail departments and accounting department
  • Manage all accounting functions related to direct to consumer (retail stores, ecommerce websites, direct to consumer systems, credit card collections, customer gift cards, inventory, payables, etc.)


Requirements

  • B.S. in Accounting and 5-10 years in a corporate accounting environment required.
  • Experience in Oracle, NetSuite, Business Objects and Essbase
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP and research skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid written and oral communication, organizational and planning skills
  • Be able to manage multiple, diverse projects and personnel concurrently
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
