Accounting Coordinator

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To ensure balance sheet accounts are stated accurately; to handle bank reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis; and to provide ad hoc reporting and analysis.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains and analyzes balance sheet accounts.
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Handles company Premium and Operating bank reconciliations.
  • Performs client bank reconciliations.
  • Reports local tax information not including income, franchise, etc.


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).


QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.


Experience

Four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years of accounting or related business experience.  


Skills & Knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
