Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a part time (20 hours per week) Accounting Assistant to assist the Accounting Department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. We are looking for an energetic, fast learner who is detail oriented to join our growing company based in Atlanta, Georgia.


Successful candidates will be required to undergo an extensive background check.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years direct professional experience as an accounting assistant or bookkeeper
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks preferred
  • Proficiency with BillQuick preferred


Education and Training Requirements/Preferences:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related degree
  • Certifications as a Certified Bookkeeper or Certified Public Bookkeeper a plus

  • Strong computer skills, with high proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel


Essential Functions:

  • Providing support to the Accounting Department
  • Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone and email
  • Compiling Weekly Staff Reports
  • Completing Project Setups for various departments
  • Assist with the Monthly Budget Analysis Reports
  • Processing expense transactions
  • Assist with payroll entry and processing
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
