Accountant

Nucor-LMP, Inc is seeking applicants for the position of Division Accountant. The role of the Accountant is for the execution of day-to-day and month end business activities. These activities may include GAAP compliance, cost accounting, inventory reconciliation and roll-forward, GL account reconciliations, tax responsibilities, payroll processing, employee deductions, assisting with other financial or administrative transactions and general office duties. Responsibilities will include cross training with other finance department personnel. Occasional travel to other locations will be required. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with GAAP Accounting and Financial Reporting
• ERP Testing, Development, and Optimization
• Tax Reporting
• Cross Training and Backup for other divisions
• Finance Department projects as needed
• Payroll Processing and Administration
• Cost Accounting & Cost Control Analysis
• Coordinate and Collaborate across the product group and across Nucor

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two year degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or related business degree
• Previous steelmaking, fabricating, manufacturing and/or cold finishing experience
