2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) & Investor Relations Intern

The qualified candidate will be a self-starter who is interested in sustainability and finance. The candidate will be organized, consultative, analytical,  and able to coordinate, track and communicate information for multiple projects at a time. This person will work with Zoom’s Sustainability & ESG  and Investor Relations teams to help with strategic initiatives including environmental/carbon reduction programs, sustainable procurement, ESG reporting & disclosure, and investor relations projects. 


Your responsibilities may  include: 

  • Compiling cross-functional sustainability and ESG information and data
  • Analyzing and recommending actions based on that sustainability and ESG data
  • Drafting communications or presentations to share findings and recommendations
  • Conducting research to help benchmark and provide a landscape view of industry trends and organizations’ initiatives, offerings, and results for Investor Relations and ESG
  • Managing across stakeholders
  • Updating project status, engaging across workstreams, and creating project plans to facilitate and track progress
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage data for insightful reporting and analysis
  • Building content to help explain and present sustainability and ESG progress and Investor Relations programs 
  • Learning quickly (processes, frameworks, Asana and other Zoom tools)
  • Organizing and presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Contributing to Zoom's and Finance & Workplace's team culture


Basic Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an educational program and working towards a degree in business management, finance, marketing, sustainability, or a similar degree in a related field
  • Organized, independent, resourceful problem-solver, reliable team player, a nimble learner, and demonstrate high attention to detail and follow-through to project completion
  • Strategic mindset (able to see big picture)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership style communication skills
  • Use of Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides to effectively manage work and communicate
  • Comfortable with presentations and group facilitation to achieve project design, goals, and objectives
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of consistent and accurate deliverables to your peers and customers
  • A passion for Zoom’s mission, vision, values, and culture


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing or implementing ESG programs and an understanding of financial markets
  • Prior internship or work experience relating to consulting, finance, project management and/or sustainability preferred
